Top 5 Business Apps on Android in Kenya Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 business apps on the Android platform in Kenya exhibited varied performance trends. Below is an analysis based on data from Sensor Tower.

Mkopo Haraka saw a significant surge in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 9.8K in early October and peaking at around 154.9K by the end of December. This increase in downloads was mirrored by a rise in weekly active users, which grew from 5.5K to over 300K during the same period.

Zoom Workplace experienced a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from 20.1K at the start of October to just over 4K by the end of December. Despite this, weekly revenue remained relatively stable, fluctuating between $56 and $124. Weekly active users also saw a decrease from approximately 140K to 99.5K throughout the quarter.

Mkopo Extra had a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, with a notable spike in mid-November reaching around 30.5K. Weekly active users grew from 15.8K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 37.4K by the end of December.

LinkedIn: Jobs & Business News maintained consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $1K to $1.4K. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 10.6K in late September and reducing to around 9.4K by the end of December. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 160K.

Google Meet (original) experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 12K in late September and dropping to about 2.4K by the end of December. Weekly active users also saw a decline, from around 97K to approximately 86K during the quarter.
